Complexion clinic is a team of  professionals specialising in face, skin and body treatments. We offer a variety of treatments catering for every skin type & problem from acne and scarring to dry and dehydrated we can tailor our treatments to each client with our bespoke packages

  • What length of lashes do you use?
We stock a wide range of lashes to ensure we are able to achieve our clients desired results, we currently have from 8mm to 16mm however upon request we can stock shorter/longer.
  • Do lash extensions ruin or damage my natural lashes?
When applied by a professional with proper isolation and all aftercare is followed, extensions do not damage your lashes. Eyelashes shed naturally and this becomes more noticeable when eyelash extensions are applied as they are much thicker and longer, once the extensions are removed you may feel that your lashes look shorter and finer but this is because you've been accustomed to a much thicker and longer lash look with extensions.
  • Can I go swimming, shower and exercise with lash extensions?"
Yes, as long as it has been at least 24 hours since application. However, we recommend avoiding extremely hot showers as the steam can loosen the bond of the glue.
  • Can I wear mascara with lash extensions?
We highly recommend avoiding mascara as it will cause your lash extensions to fall out due to the oil which will dissolve the glue. You also won't need to wear mascara with extensions!
  • What is the difference between classic lashes, mixed/hybrid and russian volume?"
Classic lashes - one false eyelash is applied to each individual natural lash. These lashes will only be as thick as your own lashes and are perfect for the day to day wear as they are more natural. Russian volume lashes - 3 finer lashes are made into a fan and placed onto one natural lash, ideal for those that have sparse lashes or prefer a more fuller dramatic look. Hybrid lashes - a mix of both russian and classics together, a happy medium for those that think a full set of russians are too much and classics are not enough.
  • Can I have eyelash extensions if I'm pregnant?
You must have a patch test at least 48 hours before to go ahead with the treatment.
  • How long do lash Extensions last?
We recommended a infill between 2-4 weeks on average
  • How long does the treatment take?
Eyelash extensions take around 1 and 30 minutes to 1 hour and 45 minutes to complete, lash lift 45 minutes and lash tint 10 minutes.
  • How often do I need infills?
Each individual is different and it can vary depending on factors such as lifestyle and aftercare, we recommend infills at least every 2 to 3 weeks to ensure they look their best.
  • Do I need a patch test for eyelash treatments?
Yes, we recommend that all new clients have a patch test for lash extensions, lash lifts and lash tints. This must be carried out at least 24 to 48 hours prior to the treatment.
  • Can I get my lashes infilled at Brow Babe if I've had them done elsewhere?
Unfortunately, due to cross contamination we do not infill work completed by other technicians however we can offer a removal and a full set.
  • How do I remove my lashes?
We highly recommend having your lashes removed professionally as you can cause permanent damage and loss of natural lashes if they are removed incorrectly. Please contact us to book your lash soak off.
  • How should I take care of my lashes?
Avoid getting the lashes wet for at least 24 hours Avoid sun beds and sunbathing for at least 24 hours Avoid picking, pulling or rubbing your eyes Ensure lashes are kept clean and regularly washed using a lash shampoo No mascara on the extensions Avoid exposure to heat, steam, sauna and friction Brush daily Have infills every 2-3 weeks

  • What is filler?
Filler known as Dermal filler, is made up of a gel like substance made from hyaluronic acid. Dermal fillers revitalise and add volume to the skin, instantly diminishing the appearance of lines and wrinkles.
  • How long will it take to heal?
In most cases clients can expect for all bruising and swelling to subside after 2 weeks, if you are experiencing side effects over 2 weeks please contact the salon.
  • Which filler do you use?
We use a range of premium fillers from Juvéderm to Revolax, at your appointment your practitioner will advise which is best to achieve your desired results.
  • How do I know which treatment to book?
If you are undecided about which treatment to have, please contact us via Instagram or email with photographs and information about the results you'd like to achieve and we can advise you, alternatively you can book a consultation with us for £50 which will be redeemable against your future filler appointment.
  • Does it hurt?
We ask that all clients arrive 20 minutes prior to their appointment time in order to apply numbing cream which will ease any discomfort for clients. The filler used also has lidocaine within it which will also further numb the area.
  • Will I experience swelling?
Clients can expect to experience some redness, bruising or swelling in the area treated. These effects shouldn't last longer than 2 weeks and will begin to subside after 2-3 days.
  • How long will the results last?
Each individual is different. Some clients can see immediate results while other clients may need several sessions to achieve their desired result. Some client's results may last 1+ years and others may last several weeks/months which is due to many factors including lifestyle, skin type, metabolism etc. Filler takes time to build up and the more it is built up the longer it will last. We ask that clients are patient and should expect to visit frequently to build a base.
  • Can you dissolve my filler?
Yes, it can be dissolved by hyaluronidase which is a family of enzymes. This is achieved via small injections into the treated area to break the filler down.
  • Can I be allergic?
Hyaluronic acid is a substance already produced by the body. This means it is largely well-tolerated by the vast majority of us which means it is minimal to none risk of allergic reaction. If any allergic reaction was to occur it would be due to the lidocaine within the product. The majority of patients would have had this in their time such as at the dentist and therefore would be known. However rest assured, all of our practitioners are prepared incase of any emergency

  • Are there any restrictions with SPMU?
Yes, please note the following: Retinol/Retin-A must be discontinued 7 days prior to procedure. (It will cause the skin to bleed). Injections (Anti-wrinkle & fillers.) must be done at least 2 weeks before or 2 weeks after procedure. Sunburned skin is damaged skin and therefore will cause excessive bleeding. We cannot work on sunburned or suntanned skin. We are prohibited from tattooing over moles. Avoid sun exposure for 2 weeks after Stay out of steam rooms, saunas, swimming pool, etc. for one week following procedure. Avoid working out or sweating for 1 week post procedure. Sweat will prevent pigment from healing into the skin. Avoid alcohol and caffeine 1 day before procedure to minimize any oozing, bleeding or swelling. Do not take coumadin (Warfarin), aspirin, ibuprofen, niacin, fish oil or vitamin E 3 days prior to procedure. Please consult with your GP before stopping any prescribed medical treatments.
  • How long will spmu last?
DEPENDS ON THE FOLLOWING: • sun exposure will quickly fade your semi permanent makeup, remember to protect your investment. • Eyebrows fade the fastest (1-4 years) if not protected with sunscreen. • Lips can last a long time (2-4 years) if you’re using a lip moisturizer with sunscreen. • Medications you’re taking can also affect the fading of permanent makeup, such as thyroid medication, birth control and hormone replacement, any hormonal changes and medication will make the color fade more quickly. • Some skincare products you may use around the area of permanent makeup can make it fade faster
  • How often should I have a colour boost?
    • Eyebrows: We recommend annual top ups, however depending on lifestyle and aftercare some clients may need one between 6-9 months and others may find that they can go 1-2 years. • Lips: Colour boosts are suggested are recommended every 1-3 years
  • What can I expect during the healing process?
While your skin heals, be prepared for the colour intensity of your procedure to be significantly larger, sharper, brighter, or darker than what is expected for the final outcome. This is a normal and expected result of the application and healing process. The healing process will take a number of days to complete, depending on how quickly the outer layer of your skin exfoliates and new skin regenerates to take its place. Also expect mild itchiness, scabbing and shedding of the skin. DO NOT scratch, peel, or pick at your new tattoo. Since delicate skin or sensitive areas may swell slightly or redden, some clients feel it best not to make social plans for a day or two following any procedure
  • I've had my brows done elsewhere many years ago, can you redo them?
If you have had your brows done previously we require you to send us a photo in clear lighting to assess whether we are able to go over the previous SPMU. As per our terms and conditions, if you book an appointment and have previous SPMU we are unable to work with you will be charged a late cancellation fee.
